Organization roles

On our platform, member roles refer to the specific designations and permissions assigned to individuals who join a DAO or community. These roles are crucial for effective and efficient governance and management of the community.

In our current version, we offer three main member roles: Admin, Creator, and Member. The Admin role is reserved for individuals who have full control over the DAO, including the ability to add or remove members, create proposals, and vote on proposals. The Creator role is given to the person who creates the DAO and has similar permissions to the Admin role, but may have some limitations in certain actions. The Member role is assigned to individuals who have joined the DAO and have limited permissions, such as the ability to view and vote on proposals but not to create new ones.

Having clearly defined member roles on our platform allows for a structured decision-making process within a community. This means that members can focus on their specific roles and responsibilities, leading to increased efficiency, productivity, and overall success for the community. We are continuously working to expand the range of member roles and permissions to provide even more tailored options for community governance.

The features of the member roles on our platform

  1. Admin: The Admin role is reserved for individuals who have full control over the DAO, including the ability to add or remove members, create proposals, and vote on proposals. Admins also have the ability to edit the DAO's profile, manage the treasury, and set the roles and permissions of other members.

  2. Creator: The Creator role is given to the person who creates the DAO and has similar permissions to the Admin role, but may have some limitations in certain actions. For example, the Creator may not be able to remove themselves from the DAO or change certain settings.

  3. Contributor: The Contributor role is assigned to individuals who have the ability to submit proposals for the DAO. However, they do not have the ability to modify DAO profiles or settings.

  4. Development: The Development role encompasses the team members responsible for building and maintaining the technical aspects of the project.

  5. Member: The Member role is assigned to individuals who have joined the DAO and have limited permissions, such as the ability to view, vote, and make proposals. Members can also participate in discussions and contribute to DAO activities.

In summary, the organization roles on our platform are designed to provide a clear and structured governance framework for the DAO. By assigning specific roles and permissions, we aim to facilitate efficient decision-making processes within the community. Additionally, we plan to expand the range of member roles and permissions in the future to provide even more tailored options for community governance.
